acts 21:34 But some in the crowd were shouting one thing [and] others [another], and [because] he was not able to find out the truth on account of the commotion…
commotion: state of confused and noisy disturbance.
There is a lot of noise happening right now and it is distracting us to the point where we are not functioning well. We forgot to listen to our bodies, to our spouses and to God. These are the three points I am trying to remind us about this week.
Remember when the TV used to go off. The TV is used by some to go to sleep but do you realize it is not good for you?
The importance of communicating with your spouse. (listening for understanding)
How to hear from God (again). Get into the Word of God.
Changing the show, going more into the serious problems plaguing my friends as a pastor.
Keep the faith. That means to continue in the committed pursuit of some idea or goal that is worthy but difficult to attain or achieve. It means, "Don't quit in the face of difficulty."
Keep the Faith (Fidem Serva)
eventually things will fall into place, until then..
laugh at the confusion,
enjoy today and live for the moment
accept what is
let go of what was
have faith in what it could be

Do not tell your friends about your nascent idea, your notion, the area you hope to explore next.
Do not seek reassurance from them.
Do not become vulnerable about your tiny new sprout of an inkling.
It will be extinguished by people who mean well. They are trying to protect you from heartache.
There is a very, very tiny group of fellow travelers who can amplify your inkling. For the rest, keep it quiet. Trot out a make-believe idea instead, a pretend Potemkin Village of a project, let them dump all over that one instead.
Keep the other one in the incubator for now. There will be plenty of time for sharing later.
But I disagree in part. I want to share what I want to do and put it out there so you can catch the vision. I want to change the US. I want to teach people how to fish.
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
Like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
Private investigator Suzanne McComas shares with me her ongoing case of what she believes is a wrongful conviction. She is trying to get a guy out that is serving two life terms. Listen and tell me what you think. http://kennblanchard.com/suzanne-mccomas-tales-from-the-inside-podcast-42
There is not a lot of fanfare for a good man. There are no parades. A man that become a daddy is awesome. Fathers day is not celebrated like Mothers Day is. Brothers this week I honor you.
The Rolling Stones Song, made me think of this weeks show which features tips for those over 50 and those that want to make it that far. Suggestion for those in the creative businesses like music to create their own communities and a bad cover of the title. But I had fun doing it. http://kennblanchard.com/indy-artist-help-whats-better-than-likes
I took a few minutes and gathered myself after a hectic schedule and found something I wanted to share called “One Day at a time.” Its a familiar thing for addiction recovery but you know what? It works for everything else too. And for youComic Book fans out there a little information about the character called Black Panther. http://kennblanchard.com

We all go through tough times and this is a short episode to hit some reminders on how to overcome the dreaded “writers block” which works on podcasters too. I didn’t go into to deep. I also hit on some parts about frustration and three common things that make us lose our motivation. These are super deep subjects and I wanted to keep it brief so that it stuck with you. Plus I am overcoming some inner stuff and its best to say something than nothing when this hits a podcaster. The key is not to belabor it and lose you.
Conversation with Max about the UFC, MMA and upcoming fight card. Kenn gives a recap of the Season Finale and tells when the next episode may arrive. “The Last Day on Earth” was the show. Thanks for listening to the show. Ray Charles cover of “Hard Times.”
Riding on the subway got me thinking about how people see themselves. How do you see yourself? Do you respect yourself? Can we tell? What is the difference between self esteem and self respect? Ever had thoughts of hurting yourself? Suicide Hotline is 1 (800) 273-8255 A recap of this weeks AMC’s The Walking Dead episode “East” was amazing. Thanks for listening. If you would like to comment feel free on kennblanchard.com or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and a bad cover of a Staples Singers classic.
I guess it comes down to a simple choice, really. Get busy living or get busy dying.
This week I wax poetic with a little poetry and prose from JOYCE KILMER AND SHAKESPEARE. Also ten reasons you should try playing an instrument.

Ted Deeds from the Law Enforcement Alliance of America and I talk about personal appearance as it relates to the law enforcement and security profession. AMC’s The Walking Dead recap of Season 6, episode 13 - Same Boat. and the cover of a Willie Nelson song.
As much as we like to think it doesn’t matter, I have found that the way to present yourself makes the difference between a successful day, getting a promotion or the better job. That is not fair you say. Truth is, your appearance matters. The clothes you wear make a difference. The colors you wear make a statement. We're going to talk about it here.
Thoughts about church fights and an update on the latest recap of AMC’s The Walking Dead. A cover of the Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash.
This episode came to mind after a conversation with my sister and a pastor friend that are both going through something in there churches, respectively. Here are some of the things I have learned.
There will always be some level of conflict whenever human beings gather, so expect it in the church too. I didn’t and it hurt me. The pastor should be the head of the church. If the deacons are fighting the pastor they are out of order. Anything with more than one head is a monster.
I’d like to hear if you have a story or a comment about this subject. 301-828-1414.
Thought for today: Dying churches spend their energy fighting each other and fighting change.
Growing churches spend their energy fighting for new opportunities to reach un-churched people and speaking up for the change that will impact their lives.
This week on the Kenn Blanchard Show, I wanted to share with you my love of the AMC’s series The Walking Dead. I give some of the background on the website. I am also now into the performing arts, and would like for you to check out my post about that too. My mother is doing great and I want to thank you for your prayers. You know prayers work right? I started a new blog about finances called yourlifeafterdebt.us. And in honor of my inner Johnny Cash I do a cover of one of his covers.
You probably want to write a book. I think you should. In this short episode I want to share my mistakes and observations for writing the book Black Man With A Gun.

For some people there is therapy. For me there is podcasting.
On this episode of the Kenn Blanchard Show Podcast I share a personal struggle that just hit me this week. It was the reason behind the post on the Kenn Blanchard.com blog entitled We all must fight - http://kennblanchard.com/we-all-must-fight. Before I take you there however I have a special guest, Everett Robinson, my personal trainer who will be sharing some fitness tips with you. We are going to start with the mental first. And then because I love you, I am going to try to entice you with my first audiobook. Its a crime thriller with a twist. Would love to know what you think of the snippet I shared. You can find the rest of it and about it on http://kennblanchard.com/solomon-love.
Thanks for listening.
Decided to change the show and include all the elements of previous podcasts and radio shows I tried and couldn’t maintain. The new Kenn Blanchard Show will feature Motorcycle Radio, Blanchard Outdoors, WarriorCast features and content that I wanted to have only there in addition to positive thoughts, inspiration and motivation for you. This transitional show features the Martial Arts Woman.
Change happens. This is one of those short sentences that can fly right over your head when you hear it. For me on the other hand, it is something I live. I have observed and remember the changes that have occurred since my birth. I think it’s a blessing. Socrates said that one cannot contemplate life while they are starving.
The words we speak have power, they are more powerful than many people realize. The words we say can put a smile on someone's face or bring tears to another one's eyes. We can encourage one another with the words we speak or we can crush the hopes and dreams of the ones we love by not watching what we say. Today, I make a difference.
Not sure about the length oft he podcast so I need your input. Let me know what you think is best.
Believe you can and you're halfway there.--Theodore Roosevelt
For me, the change was internal. I want to change this blog and podcast to be more positive. I want it to be something you look forward to. So I am making some course corrections. You'll notice a change to the music and theme of the show . This is the transition show. Hang on and lets ride!
